Etherow IBC recently hosted a charity long mat triples event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event, that was kindly sponsored by Etherow IBC member, Gerry Thackrey, saw twelve teams of three bowlers compete head to head to become the first winners of the “Etherow Macmillan plate”.
The overall winners of the competition were The Blue Moffetts, but all the teams played really well and reported having a thoroughly enjoyable day. Most importantly, we were able to raise a massive £500 for a very worthwhile cause.
