This weekend was another busy one at Etherow IBC with the Greater Manchester Short Mat Bowling Association‘s Over 55 Pairs National Qualifier Competition taking place. The event saw 24 short mat bowlers battle it out in 34 games that took place on 6 short mats. There was a fantastic display of bowling prowess on display throughout the day and the final couldn’t have been closer finishing with a score of 10 points to Steven Roberts and Mike Anderson vs 9 points from their fellow finalists, Mark McHugh and John Pajak.
The winners will go on to play in the ESMBA National Finals in Solihull next February and we wish them luck.
