Over the course of the last two weekends, we saw Greater Manchester Short Mat bowlers flock to Etherow IBC to compete for places in the ESMBA National finals in Solihull and Melton Mowbray next year, and to be crowned 2023 Greater Manchester champions in their respective disciplines.
On Saturday 2nd December we hosted the Greater Manchester Fours National Qualifiers and this was won by Angharad Brideaux, Peter Roberts, Paul Norbury and Angela Norbury. Then on Sunday 10th December, two competitions were held back to back, first the Under 18s Singles saw Annabelle Almond take first place before Dave Almond, Steven Roberts, Angela Roberts and Annabelle Almond fought hard to secure first place in the Mixed Fours competition.
All the bowlers were very complimentary of the venue and we look forward to hosting more Greater Manchester SMBA events in the very near future.
