Greater Manchester Short Mat Bowling Association held their annual Singles and Pairs Championships this weekend at Etherow Indoor Bowling Centre. The events saw 54 bowlers battle it out over the weekend in a bid to win trophies and places at the ESMBA National Short Mat Finals, held at Melton Mowbray in April. This is the first time such a high level short mat competition has been held at Etherow IBC, but given the unanimously positive feedback from GMSMBA and all the participants and spectators, there will surely be many more to follow.
