Etherow IBC recently hosted Short Mat players from Norway in an Anglo-Norse short mat friendly play off. The event saw eight Etherow IBC members and our two guests from Norway play against each other in a round robin competition. Everyone had lots of fun and our guests from Norway vowed to return with more friends next year, we can’t wait!
In case you’re wondering, the winners of the event were Finn Arild Zinder Aarnes and Dave Almond who narrowly snatched victory from Hege Strand Aarnes and Charlie Cooper with the same number of points but a higher shot difference. We’ll be practicing our Norwegian for next year!
